DESCRIPTION:For our upcoming film screening\, we will be showing Gaza Surf Club.\nThe documentary follows the lives of several surfers from Gaza and it looks into how they navigate their lives and hobbies around and through the highly restricted social\, legal and political situation they find themselves in. While at first glance this documentary on surfing might seem to be just that\, it quickly becomes an investigation into how meaningful connections and freedoms may be kept alive under highly adverse conditions.\nIn addition to the film\, one of our exec members will be speaking about her ethnographic fieldwork which explores surfing in Malta\, as well as some comments and insights into the film above.\nEvent will take place at Kixott\, Mosta.\nDon’t forget to DM us to secure your spot!\n\n\n\n\nFacebook event page
