Kixott Movie Nights: Clouds of Sils Maria

Back when Kristen Stewart was still Twilight girl, French auteur Olivier Assayas snatched her up and made her a de facto muse, a collaboration that started with the beautiful, elliptical meditation on art and ageing — 2014’s Clouds of Sils Maria — and which continues to this day (see: Stewart’s cameo in Irma Vep 2022).
But beyond the cinephilic factoids – which this film in particular richly invites, it must be said – we’re showing you this little gem at Kixott as autumn slowly approaches – encroaching slowly upon us like its titular meteorological phenomenon.
