It’s time get ready.
And by get ready, we mean that the gentlemen among you should make like Sean Connery and put on the trademark red mankini he sports in this gonzo sci-fi classic from the inspired master of the vintage Hollywood epic, John Boorman.
Set in 2293 and NOT 2023 as a popular meme would have you believe (but why let that stop us), Zardoz opens with a giant stone mouth ejecting firearms while exclaiming that “the gun is good, the penis is evil.”
Which is pretty much all you need to know before taking the plunge into this wacky dystopian spectacle, which you could consider as a gloriously rank palate cleanser now that the Way of Water has washed up on the big screen…
And speaking of palates, this one will go down a treat after you’ve put a few trademark drinks in you.
